Please help me with my new variegated teardrop peperomia :(

I got this plant from Walmart yesterday and I had to repot it because it was in standard potting soil and overwatered so much that water was dripping out of the soil as I was picking it up. I repotted it into mostly orchid bark mixed with some cactus soil and perlite. It seems to be doing worse now. The leaves are faded, some are browning, and they’re really skinny and flimsy.

I noticed the plant was made out of a bunch of cuttings that seemed to have roots less than an inch long but I wasn’t sure if I should try to put the cuttings in water because overwatering already seemed to be the problem and I know this plant doesn’t like water. Please help me, I really want this plant to survive :(

Good job for repotting it, that would’ve killed it off faster than anything. I’d say right now it’s in shock from being poorly cared for before and then rightfully repotted. I’d give it a week or two without watering it or doing anything else, but you could save some cuttings and prop them in a damp spagnum moss within a closed container
