# Can someone identify these? I brought these home to rescue and am new…

Can someone identify these? I brought these home to rescue and am new to caring for plants. These were all attached to the same stem piece so I separated. The roots are really long and thick, should I trim them back to fit into smaller pots or should I just place them in bigger pots? And what soil do you recommend for these? I have them sitting in water for now. Thanks for any advice!

Peace lilly. You can split them up, upsize the pot or keep them in water. soil that is well draining but doesn’t dry out too quickly

I can’t tell the size of these from this photo my eyes are maybe playing tricks on me — i agree peace lily or maaaybe bird of paradise?? Either way I would not cut the roots, just coil them up in a pot
