I just found mealybugs on my China Doll plant. I put on my magnifying glasses and went through the plant with tweezers , plucking them off. When I got tired of doing that, I trimmed a bunch of the plant back. Then I decided that I wanted to experiment with ladybugs, so I got 1500 of them in the mail today (see photo), put them in a small enclosure, and gave them apple and water. I just now put the plant in question back inside the clear plastic cover that I have over my plants. And then I put 3 ladybugs onto the plant. We’ll see how it goes. The plastic cover is open at the bottom, but I figure that as long as there is stuff for them to eat and drink they might stick around. I wish I had left the mealybugs I picked off and left them for the ladybugs.
