# Hello! I need help! My little Jellie plant is dying, and I don’t know…

_Opslået af CButton22 den 2024-03-15_

Hello! I need help! My little Jellie plant is dying, and I don’t know why. I have had it for a couple years now, and this is the first I have had problems with it. The healthy picture is from January, the bottom left was ten days ago, and the bottom right is today. The only thing I have done differently from January is used the planta app, which had me add misting and fertilizers to the routine. But please help, it seems to be dying quick! :(

Are you following Planta’s watering schedule? I find it to suggest watering way too often for most plants, so I go by feel. I also shut the misting reminder off entirely since it did not seem to be doing any good and could potentially damage some plants. I hope your little guy recovers soon! Good luck! 🍀

Peperomia are prone to root rot, and the size of the pot it is in makes it more likely. I have all my Peperomia in extremely well draining soil. I’d probably repot that plant into a much smaller pot with well draining soil and check for root rot when you replant. If there’s any, cut it off and spray the roots with hydrogen peroxide to kill any remaining bacteria.

I’ve had success sticking what’s left in water til it gets new roots and then replanting in a well draining mix… orchid bark mixed with cactus/succulent soil… or you can just hydro grow forever 🤷🏻‍♀️
