# Send help!! Pilea is killing lower leaves but still growing new ones?…

Send help!! Pilea is killing lower leaves but still growing new ones? What could be wrong with it. This is a new plant and I have only watered it twice so far. It was perfectly healthy when I bought it. She is sitting in indirect light on a window that gets really good light but the sun is not beaming down on it.

No worries if the plant is still growing, just pluck the dying leaves off, my friend had a plant like this, plucking the dying leaves made so more can grow healthier and bigger. Hope this helps!

Yeah, pileas do that sometimes. They like their trunks to be a little off the soil. The only things to really watch out for are poor drainage and overwatering (learned that the hard way with mine!)
