# Well, I HAD a beautiful gardenia that I bought almost a month ago…

Well, I HAD a beautiful gardenia that I bought almost a month ago from Whole Foods. In a little pot, it bloomed on me overnight! Unfortunately, this past week I had an urgent family emergency to attend to, and had to leave it alone in my office for a full week as of today. See pics for before and after. Is there no recovery for it? I will say, even before I left, two flower buds were turning yellow and wouldn’t fully bloom. Unsure what the problem is—humidity, temp, water, sunlight, I don’t know. Please advise! ;(

are the leaves crispy and the soil dry? if so it is not watered enough and may have died that way. are the leaves soft to the touch or severe yellowing and limp indicating overwatering?
