I noticed this browning on the fishbone cactus I got a few weeks ago. There have been some minor signs of sooty mold which I treated with insecticidal soap when I first got it. Wondering if this could be signs of scale? I scraped off a light green bump but didn’t get a picture prior. Do I chop this leaf? Any advice welcome!

I’m not sure but it doesn’t seem happy so a snip may be the best course of action - particularly if this is the only affected part of the plant.
