# Help! Having issues with my monstera that’s never given me problems…

_Opslået af hannah den 2024-09-04_

Help! Having issues with my monstera that’s never given me problems in 3 years. First photo is when I first moved into this new apartment a l little over year ago — it gets bright indirect sunlight mostly in the mornings (like it did at my last place) and I’m definitely not overwatering it. I did fertilize it once which started the initial decline and I don’t think it’s fully recovered since (lost a bunch of leaves at first, but then seemed to be doing better). Second photo is today, it hasn’t pushed out any new growth except once small leaf without fenestrations and is yellowing at the tips. I just moved it to another location that gets more bright indirect sunlight throughout the day. Should I be repotting to get rid of soil it may not like?

Have you checked its roots? It looks possibly root bound to me due to the yellowing and decline in leaf size/fenestrations

Good point! I did repot about a year ago so I didn’t think it was that but I’ll check!
