# Need some opinions! I got this prayer plant around June, it did well…

Need some opinions!

I got this prayer plant around June, it did well for about a week, then all the leaves but the big one turned brown. The medium sized leaf was new and unfurling when the rest died. I dramatically cut it back, repotted it, changed its soil and moved its location. I did this around August. Since then you can see it’s made an excellent recovery, as it’s retained its last healthy leaf and even gave me a new baby leaf!

My question is: would you cut off the medium sized leaf with the browning edge? If it’s taking away from my new baby leaf I’ll cut it, it just makes me sad to cut it again. The first big cut I removed 5 large leaves :(

I do see those specs of mold in the photos (this plant is above my head so I can’t usually see the dirt😅), I’m gonna take care of that too!

Help!

It’s over watered. You need about a 2-3 inch pot. You need to repot it and when you do make sure the roots are 1-2 inches smaller than the pot. When you also plant it make sure you don’t pack your plants with soil they need to breathe and when you over fill and pack it it’s not able to get oxygen to the roots.

I also have a prayer plant and I experience some of the same problems you have. Browning/Yellowing leaves. Not many, just a few.
