# Are these propagations dead? They’ve been in water for abt 3 weeks.…

Are these propagations dead? They’ve been in water for abt 3 weeks. (With changed water) the leaves are still really green and it’s still really firm. What’s going on? Will they root? Btw they are 3 different props

I wouldn't give up until or unless they turn brown, black, and mushy. I always hope lol

Thanks! 🙏 I won’t. I see what I think is a root on photo 3 so I’m praying lol

These look just fine! In fact the bottom right looks like it actually has a root sprouting!! These water propagations are just a waiting game unfortunately :( but they look healthy!

Some of mine took longer than others. The plant will grow roots when it’s ready unless it has disease on it but it will brown and rot if it is. I use prop drops for mine and it works great

I'd stop changing the water. Plants release rooting hormone and you're essentially getting rid of it with every change. Additionally you could ad a Jade pothos cutting to the mix they help stimulate root growth.
