Is he okay? Why is half of… _Sam님이 2024-04-25에 게시함_ My snake plant, Kaa, continues to vex me. Is he okay? Why is half of him droopy while the other half is mostly straight? Why is half yellow instead of green? Should I cut the dead leaves (they’ve been dead for ages but won’t come off if I pull gently). He’s been like this the entire time I’ve had him (about a year). Yellow/squishy is typically a sign of overwatering. How often are you doing that? When was the last time it was repotted? #### Sam님이 2024-04-25에 답변했습니다. I often don’t water mine for a month unless I’m in the dead heat of summer. #### Sam님이 2024-04-26에 답변했습니다. Hmm I’ll keep a look out for that but it’s usually pretty dry (top inch at least). Is it possible the “damage” could have occurred before I got the plant or am I actively doing damage now lol? #### Jaye님이 2024-04-26에 답변했습니다. If it was like that when you got it then I’m sure some of it happened before you but I also wouldn’t say that you haven’t damaged it 😅 I would recommend letting the plant dry out completely for about a month or a little more and seeing what happens. You might need to downsize the plant and get rid of the brown, squishy leaves but that’s better than losing the whole plant! It looks like inconsistent watering with bouts of over and under watering. Go ahead and cut off any dead leaves. You can even cut off some of the unsightly leaves and cut them in chunks and prop them. Also check the roots and see if they look healthy. ### Emmj\_xo님이 2024-04-26에 댓글을 남겼어요. I always wait to repot until they are warping my pot. #### Sam님이 2024-04-27에 답변했습니다. lol so those off to the right that you see leaning out are actually coming from a bunch right behind the easily viewed bunch. So it turns out the at they’re actually not THAT close to the edge of the pot.
