# I haven’t been great with watering her recently but I was wondering…

I haven’t been great with watering her recently but I was wondering if she just needs more water or is something else going on? I don’t want to lose anymore leaves. 😢

Hi there, I’m thinking that could be an overwatering signal. Does your pot there have drainage holes?

It doesn’t! Hasn’t been an issue mostly but she got pretty dry recently and I feel like I overwatered her a bit.

You’ve probably nailed it then. Are you checking the soil is dry before you water or watering on a schedule? I’d recommend avoiding watering on schedule as it’s not responsive to the plant’s needs and will commonly lead to root rot from overwatering. I find it’s also it’s harder to control moisture in a pot without drainage too. Not to say it’s impossible but it can be tricky, especially if the environment inside changes with seasons etc.
