Hi, can anyone help me identify what’s wrong with my peace lily? I’ve never had this happen before and my original thought was mildew so I sprayed it with fungicide a couple of days ago but now I am thinking something like mineral buildup. I really don’t know 😅 if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated 😊
This is my only plant that doesn’t have drainage, it was given to me when family friends moved abroad and has been quite happy in the pot so I just left it.

-> Side note, I cleaned out the debris as soon as I took photos.

I can’t tell 100% from the photos but my guess would be mealy bugs.

Thank you, I will have a look for bugs, if it is them what can I do to get rid of them?

Could be mealybugs if it’s soft. Could be spilled chemicals or poorly mixed fertilizer if it’s crusty. Check for pests. Mealybugs leave a honeydew that can get moldy. Rubbing alcohol on a qtip can kill mealybugs. Diluted vinegar can be used to wipe off the chemicals.

Thank you! I think it is mineral buildup as I fertilised about a week ago and it was a new one so I think I have it too much
