I'm new to planting so l'm not really sure what l'm doing. I got a couple plants a couple days ago. This one is called Laguna dark blue/ lobelia erinus. I let it be in the sun outside for a couple of days which some of the days were pretty hot.
When I saw it wilting two days ago I gave it some water mixed with miracle grow water soluble all purpose plant food. It's still wilting but I'm new to gardening so I'm not sure how long it would take to get better? Or how much to water it etc. right now the soil in the pot looks somewhat moist still. I have it sitting at the front of the garage so it gets some sunlight but not too much.

Not sure of your location, but when I used to live in Oklahoma, I had this issue with my Lobelias in the summer. I don’t have any now, so not sure what the app will tell you, but my experience is that they need to stay moist and like sun, but can struggle when it gets over about 90-95degrees or so. With some care, they “should” come back, but it might take a couple weeks or more to see progress. The wilted parts will not come back, it will have to grow new stems/leaves.

Basically, keep them moist and not “too” hot. Water if the soil feels dry or only a little damp. It will like morning and early afternoon sun, but won’t handle full hot afternoon summer sun. If you have it against one of the walls of your house, just make sure the wall isn’t radiating heat that might also “bake” the plant even if it’s not in the sun.

You can do this. :)
