# Hi! My peace lily has been thriving but I noticed mold on the top…

Hi! My peace lily has been thriving but I noticed mold on the top part of the soil the other day. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it and keep it from coming back? I’ve had her for almost 5 years and this is the first time this has happened. Thank you!

Hi! Plain cinnamon is a good diy I have read for mold and pest prevention. Just be careful not to get on leafs/blooms, just some sprinkles in the soil over the moldy parts should help in my experience!😁

Try the cinnamon first (simple and easy is always best to try first)! If that doesn’t work, you may need to repot with new soil…
