# Hello plant friends! Can you shed some light on this issue of brown…

Hello plant friends! Can you shed some light on this issue of brown spots on the leaves of my plant baby :( I noticed these spots on half of the leaves and I removed it from where it was sitting by the window. I live in Arizona and summer is another level.

To me they look like burn marks from the sun. Does it get a lot of direct light through the window?

Thanks Allie for confirming my assumptions. Yeah. That’s why I moved it one foot away from the window. Is that enough? Does this baby need ton of light?

brazil likes shade, and doesn’t do well in lots of direct sunlight (in my experience). maybe move it farther from the window so it gets bright indirect sunlight instead of direct sunlight

it’s a very pretty plant though! from the pictures it seems very full and generally happy :)

Thanks. It’s sprouting 2new leaves. I checked the new ones for burnt spots too. Hopefully i didn’t do too much damage by putting it in the wrong place 🤞
