# I was really hoping to get some help about a potential pest problem.…

I was really hoping to get some help about a potential pest problem. I’m pretty new to the house plant community and I’m not quite sure what happened. My garden croton over the last week has had its leaves dry up and start drooping and when I pulled him out of the nursery pot there was a bunch of mite looking bugs surrounding the bottom of the pot. I have isolated the plant but with the plant looking so rough should I repot or is my plant done for? If this is a pest any recommendations for my other plants would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

So the little bugs are probably not harmful… was the soil very damp? It could be lack of water or overwatering.

Soil was definitely damp but I let it dry it for a couple a days and it just started looking worse without the moisture. I’ve found out it’s pretty temperamental. Any advice if it can come back from this?

Honestly it looks overwatered and I’m not 100% sure on these plants. Hopefully someone with more expertise will be able to assist. Did you use dr planta?
