# Help! New plant owner here. Bought this fern about a week ago and…

Help! New plant owner here. Bought this fern about a week ago and she’s been downhill since I bought her. Gave her a big emergency water yesterday as the soil was bone dry (planta told me it was still 3 ish days until next water). What can I do to save her?

i would try to incorporate a humidifier if the soil is drying out quickly

The terra cotta pot is also going to make the soil dry out more quickly than a plastic pot because it's porous.

Try moving it to the bathroom, assuming it’s bright enough. Humidity in the air from your daily shower might help (skip using the bathroom exhaust fan).
