# I ordered some plants from tik tok shop and it was a horrible…

I ordered some plants from tik tok shop and it was a horrible experience. I FINALLY received my plants after weeks and the plants weren’t in great shape. I checked the roots and a lot of them were dark brown and mushy. Is that root rot ?

Ugh my goodness, so sorry, yep that definitely is root rot. I’d cut off any roots that are mushy or smell rotted, then soak the rest in hydrogen peroxide and water. If the rot goes up the stem, hopefully you have a node higher up that you can cut to and then try to propagate. If you cut the stem and it looks brown or black on the inside it’s still rotted and you have to go father up. Best of luck!
