Any ideas about what is going on with this corn plant? Using a moisture meter and this app for watering. Browning/yellowing is not dry and crumbly. Is soft in nature. Too much sun? Fertilizer? Too much water? Too little water?

Maybe it could be a lack of drainage. I think your pot does have drainage but more could always help. The lack of drainage might also be causing water to pool giving some leaves the yellow and brown parts.

I like that this app has a watering schedule, however, I use a water meter to tell me when (I don’t have great sensation in my fingertips to determine how damp the soil is). I’m often snoozing the watering schedule as the soil is still in the “moist” category.

I use a knitting needle, stick it in, and if soil comes up, then snooze the watering recommendation.
