Did I kill it or is there any hope?

It was a 3’ Madagascar palm… my grandpa moved to a nursing home and I ended up with his plants, I was doing pretty well… but then I didn’t check for a few days and noticed today he had fallen against the wall and this is why…

A mushy cactus is a sign of overwatering. Have you checked if the root system is still strong and not rotting?
