These are bog plants that like to stay wet. The heads will turn black and die off after so many open and closes. But I would try keeping this guy more moist than just misting.

I use a saucer underneath and add filtered water only. Trim off the dead ones. They also like direct sunlight

How much direct sunlight? Not intense sunlight right?..
