# I noticed my snake plant last week just melted like this and there…

I noticed my snake plant last week just melted like this and there was no saving it. It completely turned to mush but I water it once or twice a month and the soil was completely dry when I noticed it like this. Would anyone here know what could’ve possibly happened? 😬

ooof any chance it froze? it definitely rotted

Yeahhhh, maybe froze, orrrr maybe it was too dry and the roots got drowned and it was a case of dry to wet root rot?

It was in my bedroom but it did get pretty chilly one night. All my other plants are still doing good though

Yeah, I’d say probably cold shock mixed with overwatering

Awe, sorry to see it.

I had a similar experience when our electricity went out and my snake plant got too cold. I tried to revive it and was unable.
