Help! What is this spot on my snake plant from?? Is it going to spread? Should I cut it off, spray with fungicide? I know they get brown scaring but the black spots inside is what concerns me.

looks like normal mechanical damage/scarring. something to note is that overwatering can make them more susceptible to this type of scarring, but if you’re allowing this to completely dry out before watering then you’re probably in good shape!

if you are watering too much, just wait until the soil is totally dry moving forward
