# Any thought on what could be causing this dark spot on my moonlight…

_Posted by Nutella on 2024-09-08_

Any thought on what could be causing this dark spot on my moonlight philodendron? This started appearing after I moved the plant from a window to under a plant lamp, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with the issue.

Thanks!

Could it be that the lamp is too strong? I saw the same with my rubber tree when moving it to direct sun (thus increasing the intensity of the exposure). It burnt.

It looks sunburn. That spot will dry out. The leaf is still good. Move it away from the strong light source.
