# I have a money tree that I have been struggling with for a long time…

_Posted by Newbeginnings on 2024-07-14_

I have a money tree that I have been struggling with for a long time now. I think the initial problem was overwatering but despite replanting it and buying a light and water meter it is still not doing well. The leaves get a mottled color (kind of green/yellow) and then just eventually yellow and fall off. I have not been watering until the meter is between 1-3.
This has been going on (off and on) for about a year. Right when I think it is doing better it starts up again. It is in a north facing window with early morning indirect sun. Ph is 6.0

I think that pot may be too large, money trees love to be root bound in small pots

Thank you. Didn’t know that.

Yes smaller pot, let FULLY dry out before watering and fertilize! I had one that was yellow and struggling and now it’s flourishing! Just hang on!
