# Does anyone know what could be wrong with this new leaf on my regal…

Does anyone know what could be wrong with this new leaf on my regal shield alocasia? Got it from Walmart around 2 weeks ago, and as this leaf’s unfurled I noticed these thin spots. Might be inconsistent watering on part of the store, but I’ve never dealt with it before.

Was this leaf unfurling when you bought it? It could just be physical damage.

I’m not sure this is a regal shield, I think it looks more like a Bisma. It looks too grey/silver leathery to be a regal shield. I don’t have a bisma, so maybe someone else who does can confirm!

Yes it was. Honestly I’m surprised it looked this good getting it from a big box store!

I wouldn’t be too worried then as long as you don’t see pests! If the next leaf that comes out is damaged then you might want to look more into it.
