# My spider plant has fine cobwebs above the soil, and I saw a bug…

My spider plant has fine cobwebs above the soil, and I saw a bug running around in the soil as well. Many of the leaves have turned brown and died, and several other leaves are turning brown. I moved it away from all of my other plants, removed all of the cobwebs and the top layer of soil and sprayed and insecticide soap on it. Does anyone else have any other advice for me?

spider mites. continue spraying for a week or two until you see absolutely zero bugs. they like to hide on the petioles and under the leaves.

Thank you. I haven’t had this happen before and I have 60+ indoor plants. When I have zero bugs I’m good to bring it back inside?
