Emergency.‼️

So I’ve had these guys for about two years now. I actually posted how well they were doing on the succulent chat just a couple weeks ago about how much they’ve grown since I bought them. And then they suddenly just started shriveling up and wilting out of no where. (Perhaps I jinxed myself :,( )

I don’t know what I did wrong. I haven’t changed my watering or fertilizing routine. They’ve been near a giant open window and have been fine for months. If anyone has any answers please let me know and If there’s a possible chance to save them. So far only one of them is alive.

What is the plant?

To be honest. I’m not really sure. For the longest while I thought they were ghost succulents but they kind of look like Donkey Tails too. I noticed they drop down like a Donkey Tail succulent.

I don’t think they are “donkey tails”. Leaves don’t look plump enough. The problem is I don’t think it was as healthy as you thought. Many people see their succulent growing tall and think it’s a good thing, but it’s not. To me, just my opinion, it looks like your guy was starving for light. That’s why the elongated growth and large spaces between leaves. Hard to tell, but your soil looks too organic. Your plant needs a fast draining soil. You can prop him by cutting the end, let it dry a day or two, then replant into some good succulent soil.

I think you are right. Thank you so much for the advice. I will replant the last remaining succulent with fast draining soil and give it more sunlight. Do you think it should get direct sunlight outside or just be under a bright growth light?

It’s popular and easily available but most succulent enthusiasts feel that Miracle Grow Succulent/Cactus Soil is not a good succulent soil.

For a new prop, grow light would be best. You can eventually acclimate him to being outside. I do props rather frequently and have good luck with them. Pics are props I’ve done from stem cuttings.

Is there a substrate in there besides the rocks?

Hey you circular are super cute and they’re definitely savable they’re stretching out because you need more sunlight try putting them closer to a bright window with soft morning light also check the soil so you don’t like to sit in what it feels soggy or heavy let it dry completely before watering again you might wanna switch to special succulent cactus soil so the roots don’t stay wet to walkand if they get too old you can actually snap a healthy piece in the pot and the plant it they regrow and that helps you
