African fig. Hello! Does anyone know what could be the reason for this on the leaves ? Has anyone been through the same ? Thank you .

Do you water with tap? It could be minerals leaving through the leaves. Does it wipe off or no?

I water with tap but stopped misting with tap water as I thought that was the problem . I mist with mineral water now . It does not wipe off.

As an aside, I would definitely stop misting altogether you open yourself up to a lot of problems. If you’re watering with tap then I think it’s the minerals from the water coming through the leaves. This doesn’t look like spider mites to me, but worth it to check extra well

I checked , double checked, cleaned the leaves one by one .
