# Hi everyone! My Norfolk pine has continued to struggle \& get worse…

_Pubblicato da JamesConner\_15 il 2025-01-29_

Hi everyone! My Norfolk pine has continued to struggle \& get worse for close to a month. I’ve tried multiple things to help but none have worked. Frequent watering, less watering, tons of sun (both direct sun \& or grow light), and then less direct sun.

Disclaimer: I got it via EasyPlant (self watering planter) and I know that the fix is probably repotting.. but I spent way too much on the plant + planter so I was trying to make it work somehow.

Any other advice on my Norfolk Pine?

Repotting probably won’t help. These are very difficult plants. Their needs are almost impossible within the normal household. If I remember correctly, they need direct sun, high humidity, and cool temps. So it’s not your fault. They are usually sold around the holidays as a Christmas tree, but only last a few months.

Just checked. I was wrong about needing cooler temps.

I have mine from Christmas still, I am trying to keep it alive as long as I can! It’s thriving right now with a grow light for 12 hours a day and I mist every day. They are outside plants and I’m in zone 8 so I’ll move her to the porch eventually but I love her look inside. They like the cold and hot temps as it is in nature

Thank y’all! I moved it outside, we’ll see how it goes!
