If the gnats can't reach the soil, they can't lay eggs, so after a season or two you'll be rid of them. Just so bugs can't reach the soil from landing #### Jaeさんが2024-04-05に返信しました Keep in mind, adding this layer will also change how often you need to water because it'll keep the moister from evaporating a little. Think of putting a lid on a pan. Definitely feel the soil down under the top layer every time to check if your plant needs watering ### Macieさんが2024-04-04にコメントしました i saw a video that if the infestation is pretty bad you can do 1 part of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 4 parts water and just spray alllll over i haven’t tried it personally but hope this helps!! :) ### Peijbさんが2024-04-04にコメントしました What level of “not expensive” are we talking? I have had awesome success with “death drops” from an online plant shop but won’t name them so I don’t get in trouble with the rules. I double the “rocks” but I use small leca balls - there are some that come in different colors and are adorable. I put the drops in every watering as soon as I see a single gnat. It took over a week to see a difference which makes sense since they are going after the eggs, not the parents.
