# Had this Ficus Microcarpa for almost a year with no issues until it…

Had this Ficus Microcarpa for almost a year with no issues until it started getting these weird brown dots on the leaves, about five of them. I cut them off, but could anyone tell me what’s wrong with them? This is my only plant so I’m pretty new to this whole plant thing.

Is there a chance you’re overwatering? Sometimes plants (I’ve noticed this with my jade plant,) get those small black specs due to too much water. I think it’s called edema so you could look into that!

I never had an issue before but I’ll look into it, it’s due for a repot anyways thank you!
