Can someone tell me what these weird stem things are??? Is this normal?

those are aerial roots!

They grow long aerial roots when trying to find water or trying to climb structure to get to more light.

I’m guessing it needs water because the plant is a month old with several dead vines and wrinkled leaves. Then, I saw in the plant’s info the pot has no drainage which could mean the roots sit in water too long (root rot ) while the time between watering is too long.

I recommend moving it to a pot with drain holes. A clay pot would be ideal to dry out excess moisture. Also, water before the plant gets too dry to avoid the leaves and stems dying off. 🍀🪴

Aerial roots, if you want, you can cut a few inches from the aerial root and put it in water, then it will grow a new plant!😎
