# My african candelabra fell from a high perch on my balcony 2-3 weeks…

My african candelabra fell from a high perch on my balcony 2-3 weeks ago and bent like this, now it looks like the damaged part is dying 😔 Is it safe for the plant if I cut the damaged part off?

Oh no! How sad, I hate when plants fall. Yes! You can totally cut off the damaged part, it’ll actually be better for the plant to not have that part on there. Also, for some plants in the cacti family, cutting and notching can actually lead to branching, so if yours does branch this might be a silver lining
