Hey plant people. Can anyone tell me what this is on my monstera? Scale, rust, something else? I’m going in with alcohol, vinegar, peroxide, baking soda, dish soap, scrub brush. Please help me 😅

I just noticed this on one of mine too, couldn't get it off

Is your monstera doing okay? Mine lives outside all year and it’s hanging in there.

Mimi- yes it is doing okay! I keep it inside because it's colder where I live. The brown spots being "corking" makes sense to me, that's a relief

the dry bits on that second leaf normal. it's called "corking", some parts of the monstera get really tough and wood-like to provide stronger support. that discoloration on the first leaf does not look so good, however.. i need a clearer picture to really tell what it is though
