# Help! Not sure what’s going on with the plant, ever since I brought…

Help! Not sure what’s going on with the plant, ever since I brought it home from the store leaves have been drying up and falling. I repotted the plant and trimmed off some dead and weak roots. I noticed it’s getting more black streaks and it’s still drying up and dying despite regular watering. Also I noticed the perlite turns brown in this plant but my other plants don’t do that. (This isn’t where I keep the plant. Just placed it here for the pics) any help would be great. Thanks!

Is this an Aeonium Lilly Pad. Aeoniums can bruise very easily and that could be the black marks you mentioned. But that usually only happens if the plant is being handled. Normal growth is for the bottom leaves to dry up and fall off. They need a bit more water than Echeverias but the soil still needs to dry out completely. I think you need to look up its care to get better idea of its needs compared to what you are doing. You may be watering too much. Soil should be high grit, fast draining. From your pic, it looks too organic, which causes it to hold water way too long for the plant.
