# Hello. I have noticed that as my Tradescantia 'Sweetness' has grown…

Hello. I have noticed that as my Tradescantia 'Sweetness' has grown the leaves closet to the soil have shrivelled up and died off - is this normal? The outter leaves all look relatively ok with some browning. It sits on a north face window sill that does not receive any direct sunlight but is fairly light. Any ideas??? Thank you 😊

My “lilac” and Purple Heart plant is outside. My “lilac” does this in the winter time when it starts to get cold or I let her go dry too long.  
I prune her back every year. She comes in fuller and fuller every year.
