# i’m going to go crazy. please tell me my corn plant doesn’t have…

i’m going to go crazy. please tell me my corn plant doesn’t have spider mites or something. i just found spider mites on another one of my plants yesterday (it was in a different room) and i’m going to pull my hair out if my biggest and oldest plant atm has them.  
he just developed this mold-looking stuff on the soil recently and my cat likes to nudge up against him but i spray and clean him with neem oil every other week to keep him dust free.  
it’s hard to tell what marks are new because this guy was a rescue, so he has had marks for awhile but no issues.

he’s been under my big sansi grow light next to a mirror so ALL his leaves get good sun for 12 hours a day. please tell me it’s just dust kicked up from my cat🤞😭

How about this? If you think you wanted to pull your hair out over spraying your biggest and oldest plant, take a look at this. I just sprayed my corn plant, which is 55+ plus years old, and almost 10 feet tall; it’s inches away from hitting our 10 foot ceiling!  
So I can really understand your distress… been there, done that!

Im hoping to get him there one day! I have zero patience for pests though 🫠

I would prefer the house spider for sure, but I hate them both equally.🥴

After having my other plant get the spider mites I went CRAZY seeing all the dust build up

Wipe the leaves down every other watering. I have delt with spider mites several times. The easier pest to get rid of
