I wanted to ask if anyone knew exactly with this was, I was thinking it was build up but it looks a little weird to me, my waffle plant has been doing really good but I noticed this todayand I wanted to ask about if anybody knew

It's a type of mold. You can increase the air circulation. Sprinkle with Ceylon cinnamon, or spritz with 1:3 peroxide dilution.
