Hello, this is a Echniposis chamaecerus Peanut Cactus and I have noticed discoloration on one side. I don’t know what I can do here. I bought from an online retailer, Mountain Crescent, whom I do not recommend as all my other plants died in a month and they would not replace. I would like to keep this last one alive and it has lived about 8 months. Should I cut off the one that is turning orange to protect the other? Is there a spray to help with this? I follow the Planta notes and it does dry out so not sure what I am doing wrong.

If it feels gushy cut it off. It may just be scarring though. I can't really tell from the picture. Mountain Crest Gardens has a return policy but I think it's just for 30 days. I've bought over 20 plants 🤦🏼 from them and I've only had trouble with two. They reimbursed me for both.
