# i’ve had this philodendron billietiae for over half a year now but…

i’ve had this philodendron billietiae for over half a year now but recently it’s new leaves dried up and withered despite nothing changing in my care routine!! upon further inspection i think there’s and earthworm in the pot 😬 i’ve never kept this plant outside so i’m not sure how it got there or if it’s been there the whole time, but related to the plants symptoms or not; how can i get rid of this thing with as little contact as possible?? i know it prob won’t harm the plant, if anything it will help but i prefer to keep my room worm free haha (additional advice on the sickly plant would be appreciated aswell!)

Just checking does this have drainage holes in the bottom? If not, that will store too much water and lead to root rot. As Breanna said repot into a chunkier soil mix (and a pot with drainage holes if this has none) then you can dump out Mr worm along with old soil
