A question I have a geranium that needs to be cut back by 1/3 I’m planning on maybe putting it into two or three separate plants I was wondering if a 6 inch pot would work or is it too small?

This is my first time ever doing it so this why I was asking to see what others has done

The pot size should be about 1 inch to 2 inch wider than the diameter of the root ball of the piece. You measure the width of the root ball of each piece to determine the size for each pot.
