Is anyone experienced with Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum? The newest leaf on this small offshoot plant has begun discoloring. My strongest guess right now is that I waited a little longer than usual to water it. However, I see this a lot in these plants so I'm wondering if there's a piece of their care I don't know.

Lots of questions. Was the leaf dark before and is now turning yellow or is it a newer leaf that just unfurled and still needs time to establish? Are you using any fertilizer? Did this just get repotted in a different soil mix?

It wasn't as dark as the others but it was totally green. It fully finished unfurling over a week ago. I supplemented the soil with organic fertilizer early in the summer, but no repots yet.

Then it’s probably a chlorophyll issue due to the lack of watering. The plant looks great otherwise.
A well balanced fertilizer would help too. I have also started adding diatomaceous earth to the top of the soil on most of my plants. It helps with pests but also contains silica which helps with nutrient absorption and cell structure within the plant. If you mix it into soil it also retains moisture.

Okay thanks I'll look into getting some!
