# Just noticed this on my coffee plant today, what is it from? I water…

_Publié par Abbi le 2025-01-15_

Just noticed this on my coffee plant today, what is it from? I water when the top inch or so of soil is dry, so its most likely still damp farther down. Its under a grow light. I've been fertilizing once a month with superthrive. The humidity usually stays around 40% and i mist.

The yellow dots might be some kind of fungal issue with the roots. I’d also check the roots for root rot. I’d let the plant dry maybe. I have a coffee plant too, and it’s the only plant that I consistently kill. I don’t know why this plant is more dramatic than all the other plants I own, but my coffee plant hates living.

I haven't really had lots of problems with this one unless I'm doing something with it that I literally know is a no, like not enough light or miracle grow fertilizer. This is slightly concerning tho. I will let it dry out more and see if that helps, come spring I want to change the soil to a better draining mix and maybe put it in a smaller pot, the one its in was pretty big for it.

Just wondering, have you ever tried propping them?

I have not! I neglect this plant because it is such a drama queen so I definitely don’t want more 🤣

I’m no expert

But

Little squiggly thin white fibers… could this be… I hate to say it… spider mites? 😭

I think its dust, I was noticing it was really dirty and I'm gonna give it a shower. I hope it is anyways. I will def check it out more.

With the dots, it makes me think a pest or fungal is going on. If you see a rabid increase, it's more likely bacterial

#### Abbi ha respondido el 2025-01-15

I did check for pests and didn't see anything. I will try fungicide and see what happens. If its bacteria, what would you recommend?

#### Wolfen 🐺 ha respondido el 2025-01-16

I only have used physan 20 for antibacterial
