# I had bought this majesty palm on Home depot no even 1 months ago…

I had bought this majesty palm on Home depot no even 1 months ago 😭😭 it started getting yellow tips and weird brown spots everywhere i thought it was too much sun but i got curious and check the roots it was almost all rot, i clean her up and cut all potential root rot and replant it  
Will it be okay?  
I hadn’t watered since i got her since the soil was pretty moist  
I also place it in a nursery pot with plenty of holes to breathe

I was advised to never buy plants from Home Depot and or Walmart. A lot have pests or other issues.

This the only plant i have from Home Depot and the only plant that i have issues with, i will definitely be careful when buying from them again 🥲

You never know I bet the workers. There may not have much knowledge of caring for plants I always inspect the plants carefully regardless of where I buy them.

your plant will be able to make it with the proper care and attention!

make sure that the new pot you give it is 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball. too much excess soil holds moisture for longer than desired, and can lead to root rot.  
adding in amendments to your soil will help as well, things like perlite or pumice work great. a good ratio would be about 30%-50% chunky amendments, and 70%-50% soil!  
water when the soil is about 1/2 dry, or it shows symptoms of needing a drink.  
you can check the moisture level by pushing a wooden chopstick or skewer all the way to the bottom of the pot. leave it for a few minutes, and when you take it out, if there are any crumbs of wet soil on half or less than half of the stick, then its time to water!
