Hey all! Just bought this cebu blue propagation and it has a couple slice like cuts in its leaves… just wondering is this a pest issues or is there no need for concern? (Kinda looks like something on the leaf but i dont have a microscope) Thanks in advance!

hey! what’s on the back of the stem in nothing to worry about, just the sheath the new leaf developed in. the damage on the leaf looks like something that hit it and hurt it that way. could also be pests though, as a general rule it’s always a good idea to isolate new plants for a couple weeks even if there’s no visible signs of pests

I don’t see pests unless you see them on the leaves. The cut marks look like mechanical damage.

Cebu Blue are easy to grow. Let the soil almost dry out between watering. Give it bright indirect light. Fertilize every two weeks with 50% diluted liquid fertilizer. I use SuperThrive plant vitamins. It works well for me. These grow fast. I bought one in a 4 inch pot last March. Moved it to a 6 inch pot in May. The picture shows the size in August. It gets 3 hours of direct sun after sunrise. It’s blocked from direct sun the rest of the day under a covered patio.
