I don't know what is going on with this alocasia ninja. When I received him he looked rough but now…. If I take it out the soil and put it in water will it make it? Should I just cut that leaf off?

I would remove the leaf!

Also check out the roots and make sure it’s healthy :)

The roots were awesome. I put it in clear pots and the roots looked great. When I first took this plant out of the box this leaf looked a little funny.

Okay then I would just get rid of that leaf :) cut it at the base with smth sterile !
