# What is this white mold(?) or fungus(?) that appeared overnight in my…

What is this white mold(?) or fungus(?) that appeared overnight in my raised bed? It puffs when touched and released a bunch of spores my sugar pea is NOT happy with it, although I’m not entirely sure they’re related. Do I need to get rid of it? If so how?

Mold is a form of fungus. Looks like fungus. They don’t really harm the plants. You can use a fungicide to remove them. The spores blow in the air and can come with the organic matter in the soil.

As long as they’re not hurting anything I’m not worried, I just was surprised to see it appear so quickly.
