# My Monstera is about 2 years old and was thriving, but in the past…

My Monstera is about 2 years old and was thriving, but in the past month the leaves have been yellowing. The soil doesn't feel damp and I recently added drier soil to the top. Should I take it out of the pot and check the bottom? I'm afraid of causing more harm than helping it.

Definitely would check the roots just to be for sure !

Agreed! Worth checking the roots for sure. Monsteras don't seem to be prone to shock when repotting so it seems like more of a risk not to look!

Thrips maybe 🤔

I haven't seen any signs of insects on any of my plants.
